Scientific and technical Library of the National Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on January 26, 2021 has organized a Webinar consisting of 2 parts: in the first part was introduced the works carried out by the Scientific and technical library of NCIE and Mkhitar Sebastatsi" educational complex in the condition of COVID-19 and in the 2-nd part Group participation in a webinar hosted by EBSCO.
It is known that EBSCO is one of the largest suppliesr of resources to the world's leading publishers, offerinf information resources in all areas of sciense and technology. The event was attended vby various of libraries and institutes. The event was hosted by Levon Gharibyan, head of the NCIE scientific and technical library, who expressed hope that the presentation of such a useful experience of the participants in the current situation will make an opportunity to solve the problems caused by the library challenges through joint efforts. At the beginning, the head of the library handed a Cerificate of Appreciation to professor Dimitri Khachatryan, who denoted to the library books and magazines.
Then the participants listened to the report of Lilit Vardanyan, Scientific Secretary of NCIE, entitled "Distance library work. The experience of NCIE scientific-technical library". The report was about the reorganization of the Electronic Directory of the Scientific and Technical Library, to be in the context of distance learning. In the conditions of social isolation, the remote information service of the users through the Electronic document delivery service of the library was more than used. Information service was provided for enterprises of different sectors of the economy, public administration bodies, libraries, individual users - 397. In the context of remote information service, the activity of the pages of different social platforms of NCIE were more emphasized, in particular, 524 online demonstrations were posted. Videos, information materials were regularly prepared on the NCIE website, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages under various headings.
Lusine Aleksanyan, the head of the "Tigran Hayrapetyan" library of "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" educational complex, in the "Distance work of the library" report presented the distance working directions of "Tigran Hayrapetyan" electronic library, the organization of distance learning, as well as the library on other electronic platforms.
Then, in order to develop their professional skills, they participated in group webinar "Where? And How to search for information. Search on EBSCOhost platform and Internet. This webinar gives an opportunity to learn about the opportunities to search for up-to-date, quality information on the EBSCOhost platform, download books from trusted sources, and more. By the way, the group participants will receive certificates due to the agreement reached between EBSCO and the regional representative of Russia and the CIS countries. At the end, an exchange of views and opinions on the role of libraries in the current situation took place.
