Scientists have found the cause of baldness

Scientists at Northwestern University in Chicago have explained why baldness occurs. In experiments on mice, scientists found that when hair stem cells age, they become less sticky, leave special places in the follicle and enter the dermis. Outside of their delicate microenvironment, they usually cannot survive.
“As a result, there are fewer and fewer stem cells that are needed for hair growth. This leads to thinning hair and gradual baldness, ”the publication says.
Scientists report on such a mechanism of baldness for the first time. The authors of the study hope that their discovery will help combat hair loss in humans, since the follicles of mice are similar to those of humans.
