Napoleon's hat was auctioned for $ 1.4 million

Napoleon Bonaparte's hat sold for $ 1.4 million at Sotheby's auction house, according to Luxury Launches, detailing that it was one of the commander's favorite hats.
It is noteworthy that the sample, according to experts, should have sold for $ 587,000-822,000.
It is noted that Bonaparte wore it on July 7, 1807, during a meeting with Russian Emperor Alexander I, during which the treaties of Tilsit were signed.
Napoleon had about 120 hats, the surviving ones of which are now in museums and collections.
