Chinese scientists have developed a brain-computer that allows you to control the "power of thought"

A group of scientists from China has demonstrated the operation of a brain-computer interface, which allows you to control the device with the "power of thought". A distinctive feature of the development is the absence of physical electrical connections and non-invasiveness. The results of the s tudy are published in eLight.
It is noted that signals from the brain are read using non-invasive electrodes. They read the EEG of the operator's brain, decode the signal and send it to the electromagnetic metasurface, on which the interface is displayed.
As a demonstration of the performance of the neural interface, scientists used two people. For each, a graphical interface was provided on which commands or letters were displayed. The operator needed to concentrate on any command (or letter) so that the interface could read and transmit a signal to another operator.
As a result, scientists managed to establish the exchange of information using the "power of thought." It is reported that with proper skill, the speed of sending one symbol was no more than five seconds. According to the study leader typing speed can be increased by using fast typing algorithms.
