Workshop for local startup companies

The Gyumri American Corner (GAC) with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia and in cooperation with the NCIE (National Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) Gyumri branch organizes two days’ workshop titled “Workshop for local startup companies” for improvement of business environment in Shirak region, in order to support newly established companies, and with the goal to present the best practices that exist in the country.

During the workshop specialists who have gained huge experience and success in the field of the creation and management of the companies, representatives of consulting agencies, experts, entrepreneurs will share their experience and valuable practical and theoretical knowledge with the workshop participants. 

The GAC and NCIE Gyumri branch, the rich informative and educational resources of which will help startup businesses and individuals to start operating effectively, will also present their possibilities.

The graduates and undergraduates of the Gyumri Technology Center and Gyumri Higher educational institutions, NGO and SME representatives, representatives of agricultural and farm households, entrepreneurs will take part in the workshop.

 Topics of the agenda

1. The main types of the entrepreneurial activity (PE, LLC, JSC, JV). The possibilities and means of creating and implementing of those facilities.
2. The important and extremely necessary provisions of the startup companies of the RA tax and customs legislation.
3. The informational and educational resources of the NCIE Gyumri branch and Gyumri American Corner, the opportunities and possible areas of cooperation in their use.
4. Field of the innovative entrepreneurial activity, development of business skills, support to the commercialization of the innovative business ideas encouraged by NCIE SNCO, management of the innovative programs, database of specialized personnel.
5. The presentation and discussion on activity and management skills of a number of successful and experienced enterprises (Armenian- American House Constructional Unity, LenTex, Igit) that exist in Gyumri.
6. The specifications and support possibilities in the initial phase for the creation of startup companies.
7. The use of informative and communicative technologies in the researches of the international job market, in the creation of new jobs and joint companies (E-Works, Distance works).
8. Business plan.
